Real Food

Kevin is still doing great and has graduated to a regular diet. Doesn’t sound like much but after being on a renal diet since August, it is very exciting. Had one walk but his surgeon wants two more today so more work ahead. Carrie made it over from the hotel for a much needed visit until I sent her back to rest. She is doing great, with any discomfort far overshadowed by seeing the results of this gift. As for me, I never knew that watching urine drip into a container could bring me so much joy.

Yay for real food, and yay for Cisco phones! If you get bored Kevin, and want to mess with the phone, let me know
Thanks again Jeff for the updates, and I hope the process continues to improve each day!

Glad to hear that Kevin has graduated to real food. Of course, it is real hospital food, which, as I recall, was heavy on beef broth and jello. God bless all of you and have a restful night. Kevin, at least three laps of the floor tomorrow, right?

This was written by Mom….>
At this moment I am kind of feeling overwhelmed as I contemplate all that has gone on in this past nine months. Nine months of allowing this seed to germinate in my heart and spirit to prepare me for all that was required has reached full term. Giving life to you again on Tuesday is a rare event, indeed. Twice, the Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to help you fill the call and purposes for the plans He has for your life. I am honored, highly favored and richly blessed. What more can I say but that I love my two sons. Your dad is pretty special, too! What a gracious and loving Heavenly Father we have. He chooses the foolish things to shame the wise, the weaker things to reveal His power. I love you Kikko! You too, Jason, if you are reading from Italy?

I remember, in the waiting room, when the surgeon came down and told us that Art’s kidney was working in Dan and Dan was urinating….we all clapped and prayed…God Bless urine was what we said…
