Drama at the Tiverton Hotel

Kevin is doing so well I finally started to relax a little bit and thought I could get some rest. At 5:30 this morning I was startled awake by the room shaking and a loud crash. Living in Southern California, you can imagine my first thought and I was hoping the epicenter was not nearby. Then I heard someone groaning, turned on the light and was shocked to see Carrie lying on the floor in the middle of our room. I have spent a career training for emergency situations so I knew how important it is to remain calm. I rushed to her side and knew I should say something reassuring. The first words that came to mind were “that was stupid” but I realized that might not help at this point, so I said “what happened?” She said she thought she was near the bed so she just sat down. Well, if being in the same room as the bed counts as close, she was right. I checked her various incisions and, finding no leaks, I was able to get her back into bed. She said that the pain was subsiding and that now her biggest fear was that she would be the subject of a post in Kevin’s blog. Once I assured her that I would never be so insensitive, she was able to relax and go back to sleep. I am about to head over to Kevin’s room. It is much less stressful there. I will update you on him as soon as I hear from the doctors.

I agree with Gina & Martha…. you are a comic writer! aka ‘Jester Jeff’ ..To be able to pen such funny stuff these last few days under enormous stress is talent. What I love the most is how in a few sentences you can describe a situation in such detail that delivers the visuals. Funny Stuff!
On a serious note, we couldn’t be any happier with the positive progress. Warm Hugs & Love to All, Sonnja

OK, seriously Jeff…. start your own blog, who cares what it is about, get some advertisers to pay to advertise on your blog, start earning a residual income just for getting on and writing about your day’s events…. it would obviously be a breeze and i for one would get on daily for my dose of laughter, which I am told keeps you young at heart…. love you guys. Carrie, did Jeff push you out of the bed? tell the truth now.

Okay, seriously? It took me fifteen minutes to get through this one! I am in so much pain right now from laughing, having to get up and retrieve kleenex because the tears are rolling down my face. But this is just a small sampling of the man that I live with. His dark sense of humor is refreshing, isn’t it?
