Made it Through the Night
by jeff on Feb.10, 2010, under Site News
Well, the first night after a long surgery went as you might expect. Spent the night crying out for pain medication and something to drink. Back pain seemed the most bothersome but knees too of all things. Noisy room but that is to be expected I guess. Bowel sounds seem normal so should be able to eat today. Check back later, I’m going to go find out how Carrie and Kevin did. Thanks, Jeff.

Jeff,
After reading your blog I forgot that Carrie & Kevin had surgery! For everyone that doesn’t know Jeff better he doesn’t pass gas or burp…at least in public and I never seen him naked if that matters.
Anyways back to the surgery team, God bless them both.

I remember Art farting too but I think that was during dinner at Tahoe.

I remember how relieved art was to fart…that meant things were moving. One of the first ah ah moments was the first morning after, when Art, complete with pee bag and pole, walked down the hall and around the bend to walk into Dan’s room and see Dan smiling. THere were big tears of joy …that was an ah ah moment.

You are so funny!!!! And obviously your son has inherited your sense of humor….. which is probably at least half the reason that he has been able to go through all this. I will be in prayer for pain relief….. for all of you!
